After a year of exploration eight plays were written by emerging local playwrights. We are now developing and rehearsing Lo Cheuk On’s play TWO  which will be performed at Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, Black Box Theatre.

About The New Play Series:

A collaboration between Theatre du Pif, Actors’ Family and leading HK playwright Paul Poon

New Plays Series is a scheme to nourish emerging local playwrights. that explores writing for the and its relationship to acting and directing. The scheme involves a workshop and production process in collaboration with professional actors and directors.

The scheme includes two series of training workshops and a retreat camp. One potential script is chosen by the mentors and further developed together with the experienced creative team of Theatre du Pif and Actors’ Family. Finally the play is staged as a public performance.

In long run the scheme wishes to support emerging playwrights in developing their skill and style of writing and to encourage the creation of new plays.
